R-Value Homes is pleased to show off one of our 2023 Homes.
The home dubbed "Burken Punt" features stunning detailed craftsmanship and unique custom features. You cannot help but feel the difference when standing inside an R-Value home. This West Michigan home features our specialty, Insulated Concrete Forms below grade. Above grade, we implemented a fantastic improvement on stick framing known as T-Stud. We scoured this lot for the most buildable location and found the perfect place to nestle this four-bedroom, 4 bathroom 4,260 square foot beauty.
The above grade walls were full of windows; some of which went nearly floor to ceiling, while others stretched across an entire wall, corner to corner. In fact, there were so many locations like this that there was little room left to use our typical Insulating Concrete Forms. T-Stud was the perfect way to maintain structural integrity while also eliminating the thermal bridging that stick framing is known for.. These revolutionary walls eliminate thermal bridging for enhanced thermal performance and durability, while allowing all the flexibility of stick construction.
Below grade, we utilized our niche, Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF). The details matter right from the start. R-Value Homes has specialized in Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) for 20 years. Featuring steel-reinforced concrete walls surrounded by thick insulation on either side, with furring integral to the forms, these are rock-solid and uniquely energy-efficient homes.
An instant classic, this smooth board and batten siding works with the steep 14/12 roof pitch providing a fresh take on a classic look.
